Welcome to the workshop. We’ve tried to gather technical guides, documents and links that might be useful to the owner who wishes to work on their own vehicle or just understand it a little more.
Technical guides
A number of these guides were originally published at http://www.fiatbarchetta.com/btech/btcontents.html. This website has not been updated for any years and so the decision has been taken to relocate some of the more useful guides here to ensure that they are not lost. Please be aware that some of these guides are over twenty years old and so the authors may no longer be around or have a Barchetta.
WARNING. Please read ALL of the instructions for a project BEFORE commencing. If you are still unsure DO NOT start anything you may regret. The last thing we want to do is upset people by encouraging them to harm their barchetta. Sometimes Fiat will change or update part numbers, please double check you are ordering the correct part before placing an order.

They do not constitute formal mechanical, engineering, or professional automotive advice.
- Assumption of Risk: Working on motor vehicles involves inherent risks, including mechanical damage, personal injury, and statutory roadworthiness implications under the Road Traffic Act. - Roadworthiness & Manufacturer Manuals: Vehicle specifications and safety standards vary significantly across models, trim levels, and model years. You are strongly advised to cross-reference any guidance with the official manufacturer workshop manual, ensure all modifications remain road-legal (MOT compliant), and consult a qualified professional mechanic before undertaking safety-critical work (such as braking, steering, or structural repairs).
None of the projects have been approved by Fiat and we must point out that any work you undertake will be at your own risk. Where possible safety precautions and environmental guidelines are included. Please remember in some cases you will be dealing with CAUSTIC, FLAMMABLE and POISONOUS substances and in other cases with DIRECT CURRENT electrical devices that do not like positive and negative terminals to be mixed up.
To view a project just click on the link in the list below. All projects have a rating from one spanner – the simplest, to five – the scariest.

Technical documents
The Barchetta Technical Resource document below was created early in the life of the car but it still provides some useful information for those people new to the car.
