One of the great pleasures of our Barchetta community is the opportunity to make friends. Not only can we form friendships here in the UK but we can also link with friends in the continental clubs. Therefore my wife Jenny and I were really thrilled to welcome Peter & Judith Wachters to our home this week. Peter is the president of the Barchetta Club Nederland (bCN) and he and Judith were here on holiday with their beautiful yellow Barchetta. They had travelled to Devon & Cornwall and enjoyed their adventure. We saw them as they travelled towards home.
I was at a bit of a loss as to where to take them near home on a damp dreary day. Luckily inspiration came to me. Where better to take Dutch visitors but to see a windmill? Let’s make them feel at home! So here we are pictured upon the South Downs with Jill Mill in the background. (Jack & Jill Clayton) I told them that on a clear day you can see forever, we couldn’t, it was drizzling!

Dear Martin and Jenny, thank you again for the warm welcome ! And yes, the mill was a good idea indeed, despite the pooring rain and roaring wind the atmosphere was top class friends amongst each other 😊❤️
And yes agree, when we acquired our barchetta 13 years ago, we never could have imagined when joining the Dutch club, we would join an international community of friends 🫶🏼 feeling like a great nice family ☺️
