Simply Italian Day At Beaulieu

Thanks to Chris Rocker for organising this day out and encouraging others to attend. Really pleased to meet members not seen before.

On the 20th of July, our Fiat Barchetta club had the pleasure of attending the Simply Italian day at Beaulieu. This long-awaited event, originally scheduled for the 21st of April, was postponed due to inclement weather. Nonetheless, the day finally arrived, and it was a wonderful gathering with ten stunning Barchettas in attendance.

The atmosphere was charged with excitement as we welcomed several club members who we hadn’t met before. They fit seamlessly into our group, enriching our day with lively conversation and shared enthusiasm for our cars. The weather was cooperative, offering dry conditions and even a touch of sunshine, enhancing the vibrant display of Italian automotive beauty. Our timing was impeccable, as we left just before some light rain began to fall.

Our Barchettas were right at home among a diverse array of Italian cars, including some exquisite Lancia Monte Carlos. The organisation of the event was exemplary, allowing us to leisurely explore the motor museum and palace, or simply admire the stunning collection of cars on display.

Reflecting on the day, it’s clear that our club is made up of a truly wonderful group of people. Beyond the shared passion for our cars, there is a spirit of camaraderie and helpfulness that makes our gatherings so special. It was not just about the cars but about the warm connections and friendships that make our club unique. What a fantastic experience it was to be part of such a delightful and sociable community!
