I am really pleased that some of the 14 members who live north of the border have held a meeting. So, following the good example set by our Northern Ireland members, here is an account from David Mulligan of that “wee” gathering.
It is now possible to see how many owners are in your region by looking at the map on our website see: https://fiatbarchetta.uk/join so if you would like to arrange a local meeting I will do all I can to put you in touch with neighbouring members. For now, well done the “McBarchettas!”

McBarchetta Meeting
Bannockburn Visitor Centre, Stirling 5th November 2023
Five Scottish based Barchetta owners met at the Bannockburn Visitors Centre in the middle of Scotland for the first McBarchetta meet on a fine, sunny day, allowing the hoods to be taken down on the way there. They did go back up on the way home as despite the blue skies it was freezing!
There were only four cars there as David Sutherland’s one is based abroad but good for him and Irene making the effort to come along and enter into the chat about age, provenance and finding spare parts to keep them running. (the cars that is!)
We all learnt something and agreed that we would plan a bigger event with a drive in 2024.
All the cars were in great shape and created a lot of interest from visitors to the centre who were amazed at their age and how smart they looked.
Once arranged we will share dates and hopefully more Scottish cars can attend – of course it will be open to all UK members!

Well done the McBarchettas!
Good effort! Judging by the plates it looks like you’ve got some early examples there.
Two members who are “South of the Border” have already expressed interest in joining a future meeting with you. More power to the McBarchettas!!
