I do not have a hardtop, a good roof, the roof mechanism flaps, or a working interior clock!
1998/9 Low mileage, complete engine 69k genuine miles (proveable, using DVLA MOT check history website. Superb Exhaust Emissions results (I have the datasheet!). £695.
If you do not want the fitted ancillaries, or want to part exchange your damaged engine, I’m open to fair offers!
Gearbox (was connected to the engine above!) The speedo drive unit inside it works perfectly. VGC. £175.
Headlamps UK (for the pair) VGC. £425.
Headlamps (Continental pair) VGC. £300.
Front bumper. Black. Undamaged condition VGC. £475.
Rear bumper. Minor damage, unnoticeable once fitted. £175.
Front foglamps including the interior switches. VGC. £195.
Black leather seats, steering wheel, gearstick and matching door cards (not the patchwork type). VGC. £500.
Original steel wheel with a good centre cap. £60.
Airbag ECU. Fits the 1998+ models. Working. £70.
Window motor £75.
Electric mirrors blue or silver £40 each.
Complete cylinder head. £250 VGC.
Most other parts available including every body panel, engine parts, to the smallest, difficult to source, parts.

Brian, I am a recent new owner of a B after the car had been in storage for 20 years. I have recommissioned the vehicle to an advisory free MOT. The car is not showroom standard but very solid. Unfortunately on giving the car a full tank of petrol for the first time in 20 years, a strong smell of petrol is very apparent. On investigation it appears to be two rubber seals on the top of the tank used for venting/fuel return. I contacted Michael Backhouse but the spares he has are just as bad. He gave me your name has someone who could help. I think I have found 2 from a German seller but he wants £100. Seems a bit steep. Hope you can help…

Brian who has the parts does mention it is collection only for the larger parts like the bumper so this maybe an issue if you are not UK based. It could be worth emailing him on the address in the article just to check this.
