2026 Club Meeting Proposal

UPDATE 17th June 2025 – Please note that the dates of this proposed holiday have changed from those originally published. The dates to save are now the 7th to the 10th June 2026. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Richard and Karen Hutchinson have kindly volunteered to look into organising our 2026 holiday.  They have already been very active and have designated both an area to explore and a hotel for our venue.

It is great to be so advanced in our organisation and we are keen to book the hotel and guarantee our arrangements.  The hotel has 23 bedrooms and we could have the whole establishment to ourselves if enough interest is shown.

Please see the details of the proposal below.  If you are interested in attending please advise me ASAP on my club email address of: president@fiatbarchetta.uk  and I will compile a list of those wanting to attend.  A deposit of £50 will be required but this will be returnable if it is necessary to cancel.  Full payment will be required 60 days before we meet. Look forward to seeing old friends and new!

Dear UK Barchetta Club Members,

For the 2026 Barchetta trip, we propose a tour to the North Yorkshire dales and moors, taking in some of the sights beloved by the famous Yorkshire vet, James Herriot.

Date:  7th to 10th June 2026.

Accommodation: The Boar’s Head Ripley, which has 23 rooms so we could take over the whole hotel. It has a characterful bar area, a cosy lounge, two dining rooms, plenty of parking.

Guests also have access to the lovely  gardens and grounds of adjoining Ripley Castle which has been in the same family for more than 750 years.

Ripley is a small village between Ripon and Harrogate with safe and easy access to the A61

Cost:  £600 per couple, £450 per single including 3 course dinner, bed and breakfast.

£50 deposit will secure a place, full payment 60 days prior to the trip. The hotel has asked for deposits as soon as possible, but the deposits are fully refundable if there are cancellations.
