CAFFEINE & MACHINE A LOCKDOWN ANTIDOTE!
At last members were able to meet again for the first time since before the lockdown began at the beginning of 2020. The virus poured cold water on our various plans that we had at that time. However, on Bank Holiday Monday 31 st May 13 cars met at Daylesford Farm Kingham Gloucestershire and drove in convoy the 20 miles to Caffeine & Machine just south east of Stratford. This venue was ideal for us to meet; we parked together in glorious sunshine and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere surrounded by cars and bikes of all descriptions. (None more attractive than the row of “little boats”)
The idea to arrange a get together here was David Ullathorne’s. It was a great opportunity for members to meet up and chat. We attracted four members who we have not met before and even a non member who has promised to join! Clive & Louise Marshall drove all the way down from Whitley Bay, Ross Williams came from Gwynedd and new member Geoff Lezemore drove up with his brother in law Wally Berry from Newton Abbott. Two more new members John Ashton and James Venn brought their cars up from Surrey, Andy Logan with Becky Ingram dashed down from Widnes in Cheshire, Steve Auty & Jenny King travelled from Rochdale, Chris Rocker & Aneta Sufin came up from Bournemouth, Jim Marshall and David Ullathorne came from Aylesbury and our photographer Chris Pearce drove down from Doncaster. Lucky Dave Skelding lives close by! All in all a worthwhile turn out, thanks to everyone for making it a success.
The best news is that Clive Marshall is going to return his efforts to reorganise the Northumberland trip that had to be postponed last year. Keep an eye out for further details, hopefully we can go ahead with the trip in June 2022. We’re on the roads again!
Very best wishes
Martin Garrad (I was there too with my wife Jenny!)

I was very sorry to have missed this event. My car has several issues including a bent wheel, leaking heater, wet underfloor, exhaust blowing & rear body damage!
I’m hoping to get it fixed soon.
