For the third year in succession we had a UK Barchetta Owners Club display at the Festival Italia, Brands Hatch on the 15th August. I’m pleased to say that we had eleven cars attend which is the highest number so far and there would have been more if it was not for that very common issue of having to self isolate.
It was great to see some familiar faces and also many new ones. Many thanks to all those that came along and a special mention to Geoff Lezemore who’s alarm woke him up at 2am ahead of the drive all the way from Devon!
On display at the show were a wide range of cars on display from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Fiat and it was great to see the line of Barchettas getting plenty of attention with a few would be purchasers asking questions about both the car and the club. There was also some great racing action for the large crowd to enjoy and F1 car demonstration laps to remind us what they used to sound like. Always great to see the Italian mopeds as well.
The Barchetta also demonstrated its functionality by warming up breakfast for a number of members after the drive in so another plus point for the little boat.
Everybody seemed to have a good time and lets hope for the same again next year and if you have an event you think we could attend as a club or an idea for a drive day please email us on info@fiatbarchetta.uk and we would love to hear from you.
Many thanks to David B, Mark and Adrian for the photos below.

It ws an interesting day, thank you Neil for your encouragement. Great get together of “old” and new members.
Thanks Neil for organising, turned out to be a ‘full on’ and interesting day -one of the highlights for me was the ‘Abarth’ race and seeing those little cars haring round Brands Hatch – priceless!
Great event and nice to meet so many of you. In case of interest, I notice a few of the members cars were photographed by this chap:
