Back in June at our annual meeting in Peasmarsh, East Sussex, we held our best car award which was won by Steve Auty for his immaculate car.  Steve’s car was previously owned by David Davies who tragically died of MND but is fondly remembered by many current members.  It was Steve’s idea to have an award in memory of David, or “DOJ,” as he was affectionately known.  How appropriate then that this year the award goes to Steve Auty the proud owner of the car previously owned by “DOJ.”   The long delay in finally handing Steve the award is due to an early error in the engraving and then finding the opportunity to deliver the trophy by hand.  

In 2023 the award was first won by Steve Skelly, I wonder who will be the recipient in 2025?  It appears that if your Christian name is Steve you stand a good chance!  Well done Steve and Steve.
