We now have 214 members on the UK Barchetta Club register. Four of these have joined us this year, the first of those is Andrew Henry and, following on from previous first members of the year, here is Andrew & Serena’s introduction. Welcome; everyone will endorse your sentiment of “when conditions allow.”

Dear Barchetta Owners’ Club members,

We have finally joined the club! We have owned “Brian,” our Midnight Blue 1998 Barchetta, since 2005. He was bought for my wife Serena at a time when practicality wasn’t a consideration and children weren’t part of the equation. Serena now drives a camper van. The other end of the spectrum, you could say.

We have become very attached to Brian, and wish to make sure that he doesn’t deteriorate. Hopefully our membership of your club will allow access to sources for parts and services to help in this cause. We also hope that we may be able to meet some of you (when conditions allow) at your gatherings and check out your Barchettas.

To be honest Brian doesn’t get used nearly enough, particularly over the winter months, hopefully the coming Spring will allow some more driving to be done. These cars are very engaging to drive, particularly with the roof off.
